Installation of a new Cisco firewall and setup of RADIUS authentication allowed for a single sign-on for the remote users.
Installation a new terminal server allowed for remote users to access local resources from any computer.
The migration was completed over the weekend so that on Monday employees could continue to work with little interruption. With remote and local support over the next 2 days, minor bugs and issues where worked out without the company having to worry about dealing with these issues internally. The company was able to reduce the amount of physical servers required and have better remote access to company resources.
